The Nadolny name is very, very old. I've been studying chinese for many years. A very highly educated old chinese lady once showed me a passage in "Shi Ji" - the ancient history of China. The passage covered 600-1000 b.c. To make it short: The chinese about 700 b.c. didn't manage to conquer a tribe and so they rather bought the unconquerable general from the tribe. He became a chinese general renown in many wars. As the chinese couldn't pronounce Nadolny, it became Na dao ling. Thats the first Nadolny I know about.

A town called Nadolny? Yes, this month I was in Finland and I attended a russian pentacostal church (they translated for me). An ukrainian "brother" told me that there is a town in Ukraina, called Nadolny. A "town" may be anything - even a village. He knew of many Nadolny's. We seem to have been living mostly in places where most people were jewish.
So the "brother" thought we were jewish. (I'm not sure whether I should believe that.)

In Prussia the first known Nadolny lived in 1363. It was Sten Nadolny, Rudolf's ancestor. Rudolf is said to be my grandfathers brother. But among the Nadolny's a "brother" may as well have been a cousin.

I have heard from a Boris Nadolny, that the Nadolny's lived long - and still are to be found - on the Hungarian prairy, and there are many Nadolny's in Hungary.

In Romania I once was kept back at the airport and asked why I lived up in the cold North (Norway). The two military-looking man told me that none of that name belonged up there. They told me to come home!!! They would see to jobb and flat. I could stay right now. I told them that I couldn't. They didn't press me.

In Slovakia and Checkia there are a lot of our name, even in Kroatia.

Our name is not polish, not russian, surely not german. We aren't even european. My dentist says that my teeth seem to be asian. My doctors say my intestines etc. are asian or eurasian.

I have my own idea. I saw those mummies in Gobi (more than 3000 years old - and pictures from those from Taklamakan(more than 5000 years old). They had the kind of eyes I have. Not squints, but pointing straight to the nose, straighter than most people's. Dust in those eyes is almost impossible to get out.

There used to be lots of Nadolny's in Hungary. There was a people called Hun. King Attila who came from the far east and tried to take Paris was a Hun, He people is said to have been wiped out. The remnants stayed in what is now Hungary and mingled with other people. Some went into Khassack tribes. They lived with them so long that they thought they were Khasssacks. The chinese never managed to conquer the Hun's. Was that tribal general who the chinese emperor bought a Hun?

Why did we then end up in Prussia/Poland/Russia etc.? The Zar of Russia had his soldiers catch many khassacks, tartars, mongols and made them his soldiers - his kossacks. This was done as he was not able to overcome those people.
He planned to use the same kind of people against them. (And look what they are doing over there - still not able to master these people.) After some time the Zar let them get their women and children up to their camps. Some of them at Don and other places, some of them in - yes, in St. Petersburg! So now we are close to Preussen.

Preussen was not "german". It was just like the USA - people from all over.

Nadolny's are now all over the world. And we surely seem to be different. But jewish? ? ? Does anyone know anything about that?
