My GG grand father and GG grand mother and six children left Adelshausen (near Melsungen) Germany in 1851. I have their passport. I know that they were in Okawville, IL. In 1856 there was a son born in Okawville. The name was Simon Jacob and Anna(born Apel). An S was added to the Jacob name in most subsequent documents. If anything sounds familiar, let me know.
