Hello Rod,
Thank you for the very helpful response.

Working backwards, the best I can figure, from Boston birth and marriage records, 1870 & 1880 census records is that Anthony & Elizabeth were brother and sister. They both list the same parents on vital records, same birthplace, and Elizabeth (my great, great grandmother) came to East Boston with 7 children. One of the children of Andrew & Elizabeth died in infancy in Pictou, Anthony. I feel that she had to have family here.

I found Anthony to be an uncommon name. Do you?

The US census of 1880 for Anthony McPhee shows a John McDonald (age 28),Daniel McFee (age 27) and Daniel McMullin (age 30)living in the household with Anthony & Christina McFee. Also born in Nova Scotia. No family relationship is asked for on that particular US census. All men in the home list "house carpenter" as their occupation.

My grand-uncle, Fr. Bede (Daniel) Cameron, born about 1902, knew Elizabeth before her death and reported "a brother Anthony" as the only relative he remembered hearing about. Anthony & Christina died after 1910, reaching at least age 70. The house at 124 Everett Street in East Boston must have been sold, by 1920 many pages of Irish and Canadian born residents had become pages of Italians on Everett Street. I will begin searching for their death notices/records.

All of my direct Cameron's left East Boston when Neptune Road was bulldozed to fill in for Logan Airport. A grand- daughter of Elizabeth McPhee told me the house and all it's contents were just levelled. No one talked about the old days, but a few pictures have survived and one Family Bible full of wrong dates with the right names.

Elizabeth and Andrew Cameron were proprietors at Osbourne House in New Glasgow, Pictou County before she left for the US. This family was misnamed in the Pictou Census as Campbell, but it is them. Their first child was born in New Brunswick. Their second child was born and baptized in PEI. Subsequent children born in Pictou.

I've never been able to find Andrew Cameron & Elizabeth McPHee's marriage @1864, reported to be in Miramichi. Can you fill me in about the layout of the Province that would make sense of a Sydney couple being married in Miramichi? I just received copies of 2 land grants for Andrew Cameron in the early 1860's, but they held no clues or distinguishing information.

I'll take some time to look at the NEGHS online records for McPhee/McFee and explore these other names you gave me. The 1900 census askes for birth dates, Anthony McPhee is April, 1838 and Christina is not entered but it would be about 1839.

Pleased to meet you, maybe fourth/fifth cousin!
Claire
