McPhee from Maine, where did it begin?

Hi, my name is Devon, formerly McPhee. I live in Maine. My father, Kenneth McPhee Sr., son of John and Marie(McGlinchey) McPhee grew up in the Calais area. I cannot find any information on them online, so i'm stuck. Any suggestions? What else can I do? I'm looking to go all the way back, or as far as history will allow.
