Hi Joan;
Have you checked the new Nova Scotia vital statistics database that went on-line a few months ago? There's a death certificate for a Charles McPhee, age 87, who died in 1934, but the certificate says his parents were John MacPhee and MARGARET MacInnis. Here's the link; you may have to download a viewer to look at it. The site itself is:
