I am searching for any info on Mary McPHEE who was born c1796 perhaps who married Thomas MUDIE in Nova Scotia ~possibly~ the Halifax area but possibly the Annapolis Co. area.
Info I have is that Thomas MUDIE and Mary McPHEE had a Marriage bond record dated Aug. 5, 1809. There was no further info given on this couple.
That is why I am hoping someone here can provide more.
Other connecting info I have found is as follows...
Charles MOODY b.1806 in Wilmot, Annapolis, NS had a marriage bond to Mary Eliza LOVAT (as the name was spelled on their record but it usually seen spelled LOVETT), dated July 15, 1830.
Mary's Parents were Phineas Lovett and Margaret Rutherford.
A Peter McPHEE of Halifax had a marriage bond to Adelaide LOVETT (no date given but probably around c1850) and her parents were James Russell LOVETT and Sarah CHIPMAN.
James LOVETT was a brother to Phineas LOVAT/Lovett above making Mary Eliza and Adelaide - 1st cousins.
James Russell Lovett was born 1781 in Annapolis Co., NS.
Also a James McPHEE married a Sarah BALCOM on Nov. 14, 1807 in NS. I believe James may link to the above McPhee families (Mary and Peter) as well because the surname BALCOM also appears in my MOODY family in Annapolis Co.
One other link is another Mary McPHEE b.c1840 married a Ingraham BANKS of Annapolis Co., NS. He was a son of John BANKS and Nancy BENJAMIN.
John BANKS was a son of Thomas Wheeler BANKS and Sarah WHEELOCK.
Thomas and Sarah were married Feb. 15, 1792 in Granville, Annapolis Co., NS. BANKS and the middle name WHEELER of Thomas are also surnames in my family tree in Nova Scotia, so I definitely believe there is a Link here to the McPHEE family and the MOODY/MUDIE's.
I have tracked my MOODY family back to the area of Angus-shire, Scotland (Dundee area) and in that particular area of Scotland our name is spelled MUDIE. I believe Mary McPHEE who married Thomas MUDIE (above) was also born in Scotland in the Inverness area, but I'm not entirely sure about that.
If anyone here can shed more light on the McPHEE family of Nova Scotia I sure would be most greatful.
I'm desperately trying to find some linking information to my Moody/Mudie family there.
