Hello Mason,

Do you know the names of the immigrant Samuel's eight children? I suspect one of them is David, my g-g-grandfather. I think David b. ca.1817 and your Samuel b. ca.1804 both had sons named Sylvanus who were born within a year of one another, one in GA and one in SC. The one born in GA is my g-grandfather. Do you have any record which would connect my David to your line aside from their proximity in the 1840 census?

Have you tried the SC Archives yet? I haven't, but am next-door in GA and have contemplated making a trip to spend a few days looking for McNinch records there. I'd be happy to share whatever I find.

Margie
