I am looking for information on My great grandfather. His first name is spelled Leamon on his tombstone, however, I suspect it was spelled Lemon. He was from New York. The family story is that he fought in the Civil War and was a prisoner at Andersonville. He was born in 1840 and died in 1880. He married Nancy Wallace and they moved to Kansas after the civil war. There were either McNinch or Wallace relatives in New York in 1970's or 1980's. If anyone has information on these ancestors I would greatly appreciate hearing from You.
