Nancy: The bad news first: I have absolutely no support for any of the data I have on the McNinch family; my dad dug all this stuff up around 1917, and all he left behind were the summary sheets. The good news is that 1) his data confirms that Mary Chapman did indeed marry James McNinch Jr. and that she was the daughter of Richard Chapman and Sarah Patterson Chapman, both of County Monaghan, Ireland; 2) One of the daughters of James McNinch did indeed marry a McKeen/McKean, specifically Thomas McKean; and 3)we may be cousins: Jane McKean, daughter of Thomas and ___ McNinch, married my great great great grandfather James Anderson. James and Jane had a son William, who had a son James Blatchley Anderson, who had a daughter Harriet Athelia Anderson, who married George Washington Kearns Richey and had my father, Hobart Richey.
I hope that this brings at least a smile to your face, as your message did to mine.
Best regards, Kaye Richey
