I just updated our family tree at http://members.xoom.com/richcousins with more details about Richards in Dane Co. WI mid 1800s. At least four Richards siblings came from England within a couple years of each other: Elizabeth Richards (1811-1882 who married Richard Taylor and had children Alfred, Percival, Emily and Daniel Taylor), Henry Richards, George Richards and Robert Richards (?-1855). The last is my ancestor who married Mary Goodwin in Bristol Engl. and had three children: Susan Richards, Henry Richards and Harriet Richards. Then he came to the US and to WI and married Mary Chase and had five more children: Robert Richards Jr (1843-1928 who married Esthma Ida Dean), Charles Richards, Caroline (Carrie) Richards (who married a McIntyre and had at least one child--Elwood R. McIntyre), Frederick Richards and another un-named child. Mary Goodwin died in England in 1853. Susan, Henry and Harriet Richards came from Engl to live in WI (at least one daughter before the mother's death). There is also a Samuel Richards buried in the same small cemetery with other known Richards relatives. Anyone know if he is another sibling? If you connect to this line and can fill in any gaps, please let me know!
