I wonder if Asa/Asop is the son of Asa Mackintire (b. 7 May 1780) and Eunice Warner? Asa and Eunice were married in Dutchess Co. NY. They have one son I'm aware of, Oliver McIntyre (b. 1810 in CT). Asa Mackintire died on 14 Apr 1859 in Delaware Co. NY. (Delaware and Chenango are adjoining counties in NY)
