Searching for confirmation of parents of James McIntyre b. 1844 d. 1911 in Buncombe Co, NC; m. Lydia Owenby (date unknown); known children: William Alonza b. 12/3/1865, Levy 1870, Delilah 1875. Parents of James were possibly Joel McEntire b. ca 1805 and Lucretia (maiden?) b. ca 1805. Need assistance confirming this last information's accuracy and learning where Joel and Lucretia were born, lived, married & died. One unconfirmed source says that Joel's parents were William & Rebecca McEntire of Polkville, Cleveland County, NC and that they are buried on a McEntire plantation there. If anyone can give me further information that confirms any of this about Joel, Lucretia, William & Rebecca, please contact me.
