Cardinal John McCloskey's cousin Bishop Stephen V Ryan was the Bishop of Buffalo NY. Bishop Ryans brother James was my great grandfather business partner. I know a Thompson family were investors in the Myers Iron Works.

What is interesting about this is James and Stephen Ryans other brother Mort was a Methodist Bishop. My McIntyre's were Methodist. I am not sure what was the religion Archibald McIntyre. My McIntyre's were riverboat people involved in the Erie Canal.
