I believe there is a connection between McIntyre Iron Works to Meyers in Kentucky, also. My cousin, David Thompson, also a great, great, great grandchild of Archibald McIntyre, is exploring this. He is a bit better at genealogy than I am. I do know that his family, actually worked with the iron works-his father, I believe, was president or on the board of McIntyre Iron works before it was sold. My Grand-mother and father just held stock. David's lineage is: Archibald McIntyre to Caroline & Dr. McNaughton, their daughter, Margaret, married David Allen thompson. The Thompson's had 3 children. James McNaughton Thompson, Andrew Thompson and Margaret McNaughton Thompson. I am the grand-daughter of Margaret McNaughton Thompson Wood (married Charles Wood). My cousin, David, is the grand-sonn of Andrew Thompson, who moved to Buffalo around the turn of the 20th century.
