You might try looking at the Aman family. The McIntyre's are married into a riverboat family and they are traveling from Pittsburgh to New Orleans on a regular bases.

I do know they were at the execution of Pittsburgh Indian Fighter Col William H Crawford. He was killed by Indians near Sandusky (Bucycrus Ohio in Crawford County) in the late 1700's. The local Native Americans felt he was responsible for the killing of Chief Logan's family at Wheeling which touched off the Dunmore War. A well recorded event.

The McIntyres might even be related to the Sandusky's, a Polish family from Kentucky. They also might be related to the Crawford's of Pittsburgh who seem to be related to Gov William H Crawford of Georgia. For sure they are related to David Emanuel another Governor of Georgia.
