You may never come back to this site, but I'll put a note in a bottle and toss it into the river.

My great-great grandmother was Mary McIntyre who married Andrew Smith, a Canadian. She had a brother named William J.(?) McIntyre. When my great-great grandmother Jeanie Huldah Smith (1868-1955) married (May, 1890) it was in Jersey City Heights, NJ. They lived in New Jersey. Up the female line were members of the Requa family.

Uncle William hoped that Jeanie would become an opera singer and so was disappointed by her decision to marry an Alabama farmer. He had paid for her to take singing lessons from Walter Damrosch of the Metropolitan Opera.

If these McIntyres sound familiar, holler.
