On other interesting thing is Gen Harry Lighthorse Lee who is Gen Robert E Lees father appointed Col Andrew McIntyre to replace the Mayor of Pittsburgh who was arrested at the Whiskey Rebellion of 1794. Caption Meriwether Lewis and Caption Andrew Sharp served under Col Andrew McIntyre who served under Harry Lighthorse Lee. Caption Andrew Sharp was killed and there is a very well documented funeral in downtown Pittsburgh. Caption Meriwether Lewis served for almost 10 years at Fort Pitt. The Sharps are also buried with the Mcintyre and Lewis family in the same overall grave site as the Browns, Booths, Cox and Kennedy's. Then John Brown before he attacked Harpers Ferry stayed at the Booth Kennedy farm just across the river from Harpers Ferry. The Kennedy family of Pittsburgh seems to be in business with the Roosevelt family of Pittsburgh. The Roosevelt family of Pittsburgh hired Robert Fulton to build the first steamboat used on the Ohio River called the Orleans sometime around 1814. It was built in McKeesport by Robert Fulton himself. The Fultons are also buried in the same family cemetery lot along with the Finleys who are known to be related to the Fultons of Robert Fulton. They are added to the McIntyres, Myers, Morrison, Brown, Booth, Cox, Henderson, Lewis, Sharp, Simms, Douglas and Kennedy families. Everyone is within 35 ft of each other. The only people missing are the Roosevelts. I am still working coincidences here but I would really like to sort these people out. Most if not all these people buried here have been dead for 100 years or more. I know it's my family gravesite as I have family records connecting my family to the site and they were all riverboat people. Notify Administrator about this message?
