I am researching this family also. According to a note written by my father, I am descended from their son James Henry McINTYRE, who married Miranda SMITH, also known as Jane, M. Jane, and Mary Jane in various documents.

John McINTYRE was born 9 Aug 1803 and died 8 Mar 1854, according to the transcription of his headstone in Old Concord Cemetery, Richmond Co., NC, that is on the RootsWeb Richmond County website.

After John McINTYRE's death in 1854, Abegail married Samuel CROUCH in 1863. He died in 1854. My father's note says that Abegail also married [?] McKINNON. I have not yet found where she was buried or when she died.

I have not been able to find out the parents of either John McINTYRE or Abegail. If you want more information about James Henry McINTYRE or his descendants, let me know.
