William McIntyre,Bruce County, Ontario and Marion Rennie

I know that Marion Rennie married William in 1843 in Alva, Stirlingshire, Scotland. They emigrated to Ontario in 1843 and Marion is buried in Kincardine cemetery,Bruce County.Can anyone give me advice on how to find out if they had any children-the Ontario birth records don't seem to go back that far. Most Alva people adhered to the Scottish naming pattern, so I would expect a Donald for the first son and an Isabella for the first daughter. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
