Charles B. is an ancestor of mine, and I am also trying to make a connection between him and the John McIntire family listed in the 1850 census of Washington County, MO. In looking for more information about the John McIntire family, I found just a few bits:
Civil War Service [may or may not be the Hezekiah listed with John in 1850]
Name: Hezekiah A. McIntire
Company: K
Unit: 14 (Powers') Arkansas Infantry.
Rank - Induction: Corporal
Rank - Discharge: Corporal
Allegiance: Confederate
I also found a Green that may be the same as in 1850 census even though the name is spelled differently. The age, birthplace and mother's birth place are the same.

Green McIntyre; b. 1846 in MO; mother b. VA; father b. IN
