A family named McINTYRE ran a corner store in the manufacturing area of Glasgow in the 1880s. I don't know their names, but they had three children: (1) Robert McINTYRE, probably born about 1880, who had a fatal heart attack while making his wedding reception speech. (2) William McINTYRE, born about 1883; died about 1978 in NSW, Australia. The only sibling who emigrated (apparently with his widowed father) to Australia (via South Africa). [His grandchildren of the surnames WILKINSON, OLNEY and WALKER are second cousins of this writer.] (3) Nancy McINTYRE, born a few years after William, married a Mr BYWATER ("with a big 'Adam's apple'") who died young, but not before fathering two sons (BYWATER). If anyone recognises these names, especially the McIntyre-Bywater connection, please post a reply. Tony Rainer Melbourne, Australia Notify Administrator about this message?
