Jon,
My McIntyre is Hugh McIntyre of PA, a gggrandfather from Ireland.
A co-worker, though, is related to the late bandleader Hal McIntyre (first played sax with the Glenn Miller Band, and then had his own), who lived in CT. They say his father's name was Matthew. I think there is a MASS connection with Hal, as the SSDI says that is where he applied for his SS number.
Do you know anything about this line?
