Hi Jeanette, My gr. gr. gr. grandmother was Agnes Mc Intyre/ Wright b. Cambeltown Argyllshire abt. 1797 .We have found out that her original name was McIntyre. It is listed as that on some certs. as Wright on others. She may have used Wright when she moved to Ayrshire which was lowlands. She mar.David Muir in Beith Ayrshire in 1815 .Their first 2 ch. were b. in Killean & Kilchenzie Argyle Scotland.Could there be any connection to your family here. We only found out this year that her name was McIntyre so have not found anything on her family. I have been searching for Wright. Would be very interested in anything on the McIntyres of Cambeltown. Thank You
