I have reference to a Donald McIntyre born in the 1850s in Paisley, Ontario, son of Donald McIntyre b1833 Paisley, Ontario, in turn son of Donald McIntyre b1791 Easter Tulloch, Perthshire, Scotland d1875 Elderslie Twp, Bruce County, Canada = Janet Crerar b1799 Easter Tulloch d1878 Elderslie Twp. The b1850s Donald was one of 9 children: Isabelle, Hugh, John A., Nettie, David, Annie, Herbert, Rita. Father Donald b 1833 had siblings: John C., Isabelle, Jessie, Margaret, Elizabeth and Catherine.
My grandfather George C. was born 1883 in Paisley, Ontario and was the son of John C. b 1831 and would appear to be the cousin of your Donald. There are many descendants of George C. mostly around Toronto and other branches still in Bruce country and Grey county, Ontario.
In any event, there's very good odds that your Donald was born in Paisley, Ontario. Quite a few people from western Ontario moved to Michigan.
