Rosemary,

Thank you very much for replying to my message. Since I wrote it, I have come to the conclusion that my McIntire is spelled with and 'I' rather than a 'Y'. Also, although I've made very little progress since I wrote that note, I am inclined to believe that my grandmother, whatever her name was, is buried somewhere in southeastern Oklahoma in an unmarked grave.

I have yet to locate any information about the person, possibly a Charles McIntire, who was supposedly my grandfather. I had one lead in Somervell County, TX, but I met a stone wall. No one there is even willing to talk to me about the person whose grave I have located there and I can't find any information in the county seat, the state capitol, or the historical society. The man was born in TN, lived in Nemo, TX, and is buried at George's Creek cemetery in Somervell Co. No other information is available about him.

Thanks again,

Betty Hayes
