Hi Jeannette,
I too am searching for McIntyre's I have a John McIntyre b abt 1811 in Argyle mar Christina McDougall b abt 1808 mar date unknown. John's parents were Peter McIntyre and Margaret poss Cowen. Christina's parents were Allan McDougall and Christina McIntyre. John and Christina came to Australia in 1848 with Children
Peter age 16yrs
Allan age 14yrs
Christina age 11yrs
Archibald age 10yrs
John age 5yrs
Donald age 1yr

in the shipping records John snr said he was a shepherd as were Peter and Allan. Archibald death notice says he was born in Dumbartonshire Scotland. I have nothing going back any further only forward.
