I'm not sure if there is a connection or not. From her death certificate I learned that Martha McIntyre Covart had been born September 1, 1824 in Ireland. Her father is listed as William but no mother's name is given. I have heard through relatives that she was related to Cardinal McIntyre, who had been elevated to cardinal sometime after 1946. Martha died and was buried in Jersey City, New Jersey. Does any of this sound familiar? Do you know where in Ireland William McIntyre may have lived? Thanks!
