2 boys - stow-aways from Ireland early 1800s

Does anybody have a story of two young boys being stow-aways on a ship to their Uncle in New York. Joseph and John McIntyre. My ancestry comes from John McIntyre who was one of the boys. Their father had died and their mother remarried and the step-father and the boys didn't get along, so the mother asked the father's brother in America if he would take them, and he did. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
