Diane,

Oliver Edwin McIntyre was born on July 8, 1810 in New Milford, Litchfield Co., CT. So he's too young to be your Oliver and I know his father & grandfather were not Olivers, but they may be "cousins." Hampshire Co. MA and Litchfield Co., CT are not that far apart.

Please keep me posted as you find out more about your Oliver and I will do likewise.
