Ebenezer McIntire - 1600s?
Posted by: Jonathan Tucker Date: December 03, 2000 at 15:43:04
  of 1176

Three early McIntires were sent to the new England colonies in 1650-51, after being captured at the battle of Dunbar--Micum, Philip and Robert. Family legends among the descendants of Micum and Philip indicate the 3 may have been brothers or cousins.

There are two sources in which it is claimed that the father of at least 2 of the 3--Philip and Robert--was an Ebenezer Mcintire of Argyll, Scotland. One source is an early publication "Heads of New England Families." The other is a more modern publication by the National Park Service. Neither cites their source.

Does anyone know where this information on Ebenezer comes from?
