Diane.--The Oliver Edwin McIntyre living in Delaware co., NY in 1840 is my great great grandfather, and descends from Rufus and Jemima (Blackmar) McIntyre who lived in Glocester, RI. Instead dying there, his family and inlaws (the Johnson's) moved to the town of Dunn, Dane co., WI in the middle of the 1840's, and in 1870 moved again to Walnut Creek in Fremont co., IA where he died. I don't think he ever lived in Washington co., NY...............Walter
