Josiah/Joseph may be the son of a William McIntire of Rutherford Co NC - but this is unproven.
Josiah/Joseph COULD be the Josiah/Joseph McIntire mentioned in the 1840 Wash Co TN census. This would have him born 1790-1800, and 1st wife Jane born 1790-1800.
Josiah/Joseph is said to have died 1872-1875 in the Unaka Mountains and is said to have been buried there. After his death Elizabeth Whisenhunt moved to Washington Co TN.
