Regarding your Charles and Eliza McIntire, you may already have this information, but on the West Virginia Archives website: http://www.wvculture.org/vrr/va_select.aspx and performing a marriage search of Charles McIntire you will find two Harrison County records, a Bond 19 Mar 1830 of an Eliza Griffith whose father was listed as Elijha (sic) Elijah and a Marriage on 01 Apr 1830 of an Eliza Griffin. Notice the two spellings of her maiden name.

Play with this site to do searches for other spellings to come up with other possible information. I couldn't find your Emily Laverne as being born to Charles and Eliza McIntire there, but that doesn't mean that she isn't there somewhere. Happy hunting.
