My great grandfather was Thomas JOhn McEntyre born in Laoye County Cavan around 1st Dec 1831. His parents were John MCentyre and Mary Lynch. He travelled to Australia in 1856 and finally emigrated to NZ in 1836 where he farmed land in Arrowtown NZ. He married Mary Curtin in melbourne, Australia in 1866. She was from Milltown Malbay, Clare.

We do not have nay information about Thomas and Mary's families back in Ireland. Perhaps this information may help you make a connection with your relative - Mary McEntyre - it is an usual spelling.
