Hey Pamela,
I am a g-g-grandson of Joseph K. Foster and Nancy Ann McEntire. While looking through church membership records and minutes of Hickory Grove Baptist Church (Kennesaw, GA), I found the following tidbits you may be interested in:
"J. S. McAntyre by Bapt. Aug 12, 1892
excluded for cursing May 6, 1893"
(Though the initials and spelling are questionable, the following items make me think this could be Jessie)
"Jessie McEntire
by acknowledgement July July 20, 1895
Dismist by letter December 11, 1897"
"Mrs. Matilda McEntyre
by letter Oct. 12, 1890
Dismist by letter December 11, 1897"
"Mrs. Pollie McEntire
by letter Sept. 7, 1901
Died March 19, 1902"
(Is this Pollie Jessie's mother? sister?)
"Jessie McEntyre
by letter Aug. 12, 1916
transferred Died May 17, 1920"
"Mrs. Matilda McEntyre
by letter Aug. 13, 1916
transferred died Jan. 28, 1935"
I have very little on my McEntire branch. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.
