Thank you very much....I had seen these McEntyres, but I don't know how they're related to mine. My John McEntyre was born about 1796 in NC or VA, and married Cele/Celia Jane b. abt. 1815 probably about 1833. They had at least 10 children. The family was in Union Co., GA, in 1860, Polk Co., TN, in 1870, and Union Co., GA in 1880. While I see a number of McEntyre (all spellings) families in North Carolina in the 1800s, I haven't yet been able to make a connection. Would you by any chance have any more clues? Thanks much....Pam.
