Looking for info on the McEntire/McIntyre family in north Georgia. My ggggrandparents John McEntire b. abt. 1800 in NC or VA, and his wife Sarah/Polly b. abt. 1815 in NC. They're found in Union Co. GA in 1860, Polk Co. TN in 1870, and back to Union Co. GA in 1870 and 1880.
John and Polly had at least 10 children. My ggggrandmother Cealy/Celia Jane b. 1852, as well as Jesse R. b. 1853, John W. D. b. 1859, Martha/Mattie E. P. b. 1835, Lucinda E. 1838, Emily C. 1842, Nancy Ann 1844, Rosanna 1845, Sarah J. 1851, Mary/Polly A. 1855.
Cealy/Celia Jane married John Calvin Allison/Ellison in Union Co. abt. 1864; they're in Milton Co. by 1880, and finally settled in Cobb Co. before 1900.
Jesse R. married Bertha? Matilda and moved from Union to Cobb Co. by 1900.
John W. married Nancy Malissa and moved from Union to White Co. by 1900.
Would really appreciate anything anyone could tell me about this family. Thanks!
