The biographical note reads:

Archibald McIntire was born November 11, 1779 in Tryon County, North Carolina. Archibald McIntire served as the first Clerk of Superior Court in Wilkinson County, starting around 1805. In 1806, Archibald McIntire is also appointed "overseer of the road from Brantley's Ferry on Deep River to Bear Creek" McIntire died in the year 1865 in Dekalb County, Tennessee.
