Absalom McGinnis is the son of Moses McGinnis and wife, Mary
Wolfe. He was born 31 May 1830 in Hawkins Co., Tn died
1 Sep 1863 at Camp Nelson, Kentucky. He married Anna Stokes 13 August 1848 in Hancock Co., Tn. They had children: Nancy Rebecca, Mary, Catherine, Callahan, Louisa, Martha Jane, Hannah Ann and John A. McGinnis.
