Hi, William! I am interested in the background on your Mayberry's since my Mayberry's were born in Maryland. My gggrandpa was Israel Mayberry who was married to Catherine Haas of Hampshire Co., WV in March 27, 1827 they had three boys an two girls, named as follows: on 1850 Hampshire Co., WV Census ages and names as follows: Mary age 21; Thomas age 19; Francis (aka Frank) age 16; Peter age 16; Sarah Ann age 13. They were living with their grandparents Peter & Mary Haas of Hampshire Co., apparently their mother had died, Israel was living in the household of John Cooper of that County. Israel was previously living in Cumberland Md was a Justice of the Peace, Tax Collector, Appraisor, and was also appointed as a Magistrate of Allegeny Co., MD. Sometime in the 1840's Catherine passed away. I have not found anything on her when, where she was buried. Peter I believe was living in Frederick, Md after the Civil War, I believe he was on the 1870 Census there. Not sure it was him but almost postive since he was about the same age.
