. my grandmother was sarah mayberry (spelling varied with each census or tax record and even within a single family it varied). i know sarah's mother was olive mayberry (olive never married but hadoes anyone out there know much about the carroll county virginia mayberrys (my family) history is through this branchd children by (i think) james nester who was her sister sarah's husband). I know the line as follows charles grafton mayberry was the son of issac and lucy mayberry who came to american colonies in 1700's from england -- charles named a son issac after his father this issac mayberry moved to carroll county virgina and started that branch (as best to my finding can say). Issac was the father of sarah and olive also several more boys and girls. olive listed above mothered (out of wedlock) sarah who mothered my great grand father lorenzo enoch mayberry. Neither sarah nor her mother olive married while they were having children. Sarah did (however) marry the father of her children around 1880. if anyone knows anything about this branch of the mayberrys i would be thankful if they shared it with me since i am new to geneolgy and still havent figured out very many ways to verify information. thanks karen dismore (by the way my father is george devert mayberry of wva and grandfather was edward mayberry of wva then later florida where he died in 1956
