Hi again Dan,
Our Hugh was born abt 1810-11 in Ireland or Scotland. Purely speculative but we think his first son was James which would suggest that Hugh's father was also James. What occupation did your James have? His birth is close enough to be the older brother of Hugh however His birth in Ohio would not fit.
