I was wondering if anyone knows anything about a now ruined cottage behind the vilage of Stoer (more especiall about the people who once lived in it)
The cottage is known locally as the "old Soldiers Cottage" - STOER - near LOCHINVER - ASSYNT - SUTHERLAND - SCOTLAND.
It had been lived in by generations of MacAskills (definitely in 1841 -1891) and one of its last inhabitants was an old Soldier who was also a MacAskill.
