All of my relatives live in Illinois. One of my aunts did some pretty extensive work. Here is a little on Georg Michael Mebus b. 4/28/1842. Immigrated to America 5/23/1872. Two sisters later joined him Fredericke and Marclina. Fredericke married Friederich Schmidt in St. Louis. Georg married Eva Zachary in the same church. In 1875 Georg and wife moved to Perry County, Illinois. He is buried at Nine Mile cemetary along side his daughter Johanna Marie. Caroline married Anton Wehrle in 1892 at Du Quoin, Illinois. The book includes many copies of marriage, death and land records.
