It's possible that Frederich Maas was the son of "John" Carl Johannes Christian Maas b. abt 1840 in Mecklenburg, Germany. He first married Sophia Jens and second married Minnie Jens (after Sophia's death - they were sisters). John died in 1917 in Outagamie, Wisconsin. John's parents were Joachim "George" MAASS b. 31 Aug 1809 and Carolina Krueger. Minnie's parents were Hellmuth Wilhelm Christian JENS born abt. 1819 and Maria Sophia Fried. PETERS.
