I have quite a bit of information to share (and hope to gain more) on the daughters of Penelope Self and Judge Jehu Brown who married into the Laforce family in IL.
Mary Brown married on16 Feb 1832 in Greene Co., IL, Robert M. Laforce (he was the second of four marriages) and had children:
James R. Laforce who married Emma Frances Stephenson and stayed in IL.
Harriet Catherine Laforce, called "Kate", married Francis Strawder Yowell in IL, later lived in TX, finally in AR.
Lucy P. Laforce married Samuel Benton Laforce on 13 Apr 1837, in Greene Co., IL, later moved to MO, and had several children, none of whom were living when she died on 3 Feb 1897 in Aurora, Jasper Co., MO. She and Samuel divorced and he remarried twice.
