Thanks Kay, yes I now know the story of the widow LaForce and the march to Canada. I was surprised also about the DAR article when I knew more of the story. Rene's sister, Sarah married Giles Harding and Harding is one of my DAR patriots. Families don't always agree do they? Rene's father, also Rene is my Huguenot ancestor and I am still trying to get data on him, his arrival in Virginia, etc.
