Status Report #8 - November 27, 2007

Two new wonderful volunteers have helped round out all of the chapters and it looks like we may finish this project by the end of the decade. They are Gwendolyn from California and Candace from Washington State...two more great Ladies of the Laberge clan.

As identified in the Status Report, some of the olde-timers have forgotten to finish their chapters. I hear there is a weed grown in Columbia which helps forgetfulness and I will send some to the respective parties if I ever can find the weed store. In the meantime, I hope this email jogs their memory.

Now that all the chapters are "taken care of", it has been determined by the Board of Directors that all team members should be given the opportunity to review and edit a chapter translated by someone else. JoAnn is still ill and unable to edit at this time. This is a one time opportunity for you and you are urged to call, write or email me immediately to reserve your chapter. The Biard held a Special Meeting this evening and will now allow new people to edit a chapter.....so please do not be bashful.

Some of the editing can really be instructive and a lot of fun. I keep reading about "Robert of the Bank" who seems to be a very popular guy but I cannot find any references to his banking nor his financial abilities.

If you cannot envision yourself enjoying editing, perhaps you can con a friend or a relative into doing a chapter or two. You will have to use your imagination in describing what a fun thing this is. This would make a great Christmas gift for someone.....certainly unique and certainly one they will not get from any other person. (It took me 23 minutes to stretch my mind to write this paragraph and the penultimate paragraph).
