Was wondering if the Labbe' family you are researching from Haiti could be also Noisette or Noiset dit Labbe' (also spelled Noizet Noizett Noize Noise dit Labbe').
I have been researching that family--they were in Louisianna Ter later Ste Genevieve MO and Randolph Co Illinois--not sure where they came from but do know that a branch of Noisette's went from Haiti to S C. Don't have anything on that branch. But the ones from MO and ILL might have also come from Haiti. Many dropped the name Noiset and went by the dit name of Labbe'.
