Hi
I am interested in what may be in your book. I am related to Joseph Labbe' born around 1773 who married Rode(also known as Rodde, Rhoda, Rodolph,Roode)Christy daughter of Israel Christy of VA. Rode was married before to Pierre Viriat(1800). Joseph and Rode were married apprx 1809 and prob in Ste Genevieve MO.Joseph may have been married prior to Rode. There son Alfred was baptised in
St. Genevieve MO in 1812 and born Oct 20, 1811.He gives his birthplace usually as Canada but that is not unsual for those born in that area of MO. He married Hanna (Anna Hannah) Hedges (Hodges) apprx 1834. Their children: Marie was born in MO apprx 1835 and their son Jean Baptiste prob in Ill apprx 1837 (Feb 12)and baptised April 1838 at St Joseph Parish Prairie du Rocher. Joseph died in Randolph CO Illinois Aug of 1840 and is buried in St Joseph's Cemetery St Joseph Catholic Church, Prairie du Rocher. I do not know about Marie--although I have found a Marie Labbe' who married a Allen Evritt in Prairie du Rocher in 1856.
Alfred had brothers named Ambrose and Joshua both who lived in Randolph CO Ill. Ambrose married a woman named Anne poss last name Reed. She may have had a brother named Argot Reed.
ALfred married second to Martha Jane Reynolds around 1846 prob. in Mo but later settled in Calhoun CO Illinois. Had two children by this marriage-Josephine born around 1847 and William Alexander.
Any information you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your time
Frances
